THE STORAGE (RETAIN INFORMATION)
3 types of memory
1. Sensory memory (SM)👉 Remember something by using sense.Numerous incoming
information from 5 sense. If pay attention , it will go to
short-term memory (STM) but if does not pay attention,
the information will be lost.
2. Short-term memory(STM)👉 It is a limited memory. This is not good if you want to
remember. It must be repeated to get information to
lomg-term (LTM).From the sensory memory(SM), the
information will be to short-term memory (STM). While
from the (STM) , it must be repeated to get information
to long-term memory(LTM).
3.Long-term memory(LTM)👉Remember something for long time. It is a unlimated and
have a large storage.From short-term memory(STM) , the
information will moved to long-term memory(LTM). If the
information is not being for long time, the information will
be lost.
- Encoding / input : computer- keyboard , camera
: human- The 5 sense; ears,mouth,nose,skin,eyes
- Storage : computer-hard disk , thumb drive
- Retrieval / output : computer - computer screen, printer
Activity
First, our lecturer asked us to read the words
second , our lecturer asked us to read the colours . From this activity, it show that we can read the words clearly then the colours.
Our lecturer asked us to close our eyes. Then, the lecturer asked us to look at the numbers for 10 seconds, then the lecturer close the number and asked us to write down the numbers on the paper as much that we can recall.

- Psychological matters - personal problems,worries,anxiety
Strategies to improve concentration
1.Use motivational and organization strategies- create interest in the work, develop positive attitude toward you work, use goal setting strategies, use time management strategies
2.Create a positive learning environment- find a good location, reduce multitasking, minimize distraction
3.Deal with internal distractions- deal with personal problem, deal with competing activities
4.Use active learning strategies- pull your hand up and ask the lecturer if not understand
5.Match your learning style to the task

8. Be focus in the class- ignore anything that disturb you

SURVEY 👀 Review the text to gain initial meaning from the tittle , subtittle , chapter introduction.
QUESTION 💠Build a question while reading so that our mind will always looking for answer . Ask
yourself about each section.
READ 😊 Read the hold text for the information and then look for answers to the questions
they formed. These question must based on the structure of the text.
RECITE 💅 Answer the question that formed . If they could not answer , then look back and
find the answer. Recite your answer on your own words then summarize the
information.
REVIEW 💪 Look over your text and answer back. Identify what the text about. Read the important
important section again. Recall the questions and try to answer again. If cannot recall,
go back and find the answer.
So, to be success , you must use all this strategies 👌
